AP Psychology

There is no summer assignment for the 2016-2017 school year.
Purpose The AP Psychology course is designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. They also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in their science and practice.

During the span of this course, some sensitive information will be discussed for its scientific value which will include but not be limited to the following topics:  reproductive system, gender preferences, the human sexual drive, psychological issues or disorders that students may have a more intimate understanding of due to personal or family member involvement, deviant behavior, changing social norms, morality, etc.  Please peruse the textbook to gain a full range of topics to be covered.
